About Cathy Fiorello
Cathy Fiorello is passionate about language, music, and psychological wholeness. Her greatest inspiration is her faith in Jesus Christ. Those threads are all present in her novel Dreamreader, the story of a young musician unraveling the mysterious death of her identical twin.
Cathy Fiorello’s poems have been published in Haruah: Breath of Heaven, Utmost Christian Writers, Ruminate, Families: the Frontline of Pluralism and the Connecticut Literary Anthology. One of her poems won first place in the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writer’s Conference poetry contest.
She has received an Honorable Mention in the inspirational division of the Writer’s Digest Short Story Contest, an Honorable Mention in Ruminate’s annual Janet McCabe poetry contest and a Bronze Medal in My Book Therapy’s annual Frasier Contest for novels. Cathy has also written for ChristianDevotions.us.
After enjoying a stint as a high school English teacher, Cathy earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2001 she co-founded a Christian counseling agency, and has worked there ever since.
Cathy has been married for over forty years to her loving husband, Sam. They both enjoy lavishing attention on their twelve grandchildren.
